Chelsea transfer news: Milan renew interest in Cesc Fabregas ahead of January window
AC Milan have renewed their interest in Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas, according to reports.The Serie A club were tracking Fabregasthroughout the summer, but they opted against making a formal offer for him.2

Fabregas has made almost 200 appearances for Chelsea since joining the Blues in 2014

However, according to Calciomercato, Milan are now ready to return for the 31-year-old midfielder with a fresh approach for him in January.The San Siro side have been hit with a number of injuries in the centre and they want to bring in reinforcements.Lucas Biglia is expected to be out until at least January with a calf problem, while Giacomo Bonaventura has just undergone knee surgery and could miss the next five months. Milan view Fabregas as the ideal man to come in and fill the void left by the duo and as such they are ready to swoop for him in January.By then, the midfielder will have just six months to run on his current contract and he could be picked up on the cheap.2

Fabregas has not started a single Premier League match this season

The former Arsenal captain has struggled for action at Stamford Bridge this season and it has led him to consider his future.Regular football at Milan could be an attractive option for Fabregas, who is yet to open talks over a new deal with Chelsea.
