Everton have rejected a 25million bid from Paris Saint-Germain for Idrissa Gueye, according to reports.According to The Sun,the French champions made their offer for the midfielder on the weekend and had their bid quickly rejected by Goodison Park chiefs.2

However, they are expected to table another bid for the Senegal international before the transfer window shuts on Thursday evening.Marco Silva wants to keep Gueye at the club as he is one of the most influential players in his side and he has no alternatives for him in central midfield, apart from Morgan Schneiderlin – who has struggled for form for the Toffees.Should another bid fail for Gueye, PSG are also considering moves for Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure or Southampton’s Mario Lemina. Doucoure signed a new long-term deal with the Hornets in the summer but hasexpressed a desire to play in the Champions League.However, Gueye remains the main interest from the French capital.Everton’s nimble box-to-box midfielder has three years left on his deal so his price will remain locked, but he could be tempted with a move to the Ligue 1 table-toppers.2
